Well...

Sweet baby

Jack sucking on his hand

not in 3D but I couldn't resist adding this one of his little hand

Little foot and toes

Well we went to the doctor on Friday, 5/29 and had our 4D ultrasound done. Jack just did not want to show his face. We were able to see his profile in 3D but then he turned completely over so all we saw was the back of his noggin! What we were able to see though was ohh so cute! Not to worry, every time I go back they will do it again until we get to see his whole face.

Also, I didn't gain any weight, still at 9 pounds total..I was so excited about that, but it is ALL baby...I had one person ask me if I was having triplets and another ask if I was having twins! I may not have gained any weight, but we cannot say the same about Jack, he is already a whooping 4 pounds! I was 29 weeks 2 days along when we were there on Friday, but he was measuring 31 weeks 5 days! Dr. McIlveen definately said that Jack will not be a small baby! However, what can you expect when his daddy weighed 11 pounds 13 onces when he was born!
Hope you enjoy the pictures..and we will add more when we get to see his whole face!

Mom and Rae are coming up to go with us, and then mom is going to stay the weekend. Be sure to check back Friday night or Saturday morning, we will post some of the pictures from the ultrasound! Oh yeah, and please pray that he is turned right so we can see his precious face!

Much Better Day!

Well as promised, here is the update......

I went back to the doctor this morning, 5/18, and they pricked my finger then I had to drink an even sweeter version of the flat orange drink...yuck. Just for those who do not know...you have to drink that stuff at 8:30 in the morning on an empty stomach, talk about gross! Then I had to wait an hour and they pricked my finger and the reading was in the normal range, then I had to wait another hour and again they pricked my finger and again it was normal and then I waited yet another hour and they pricked my finger one final time and it was normal as well. So, everything is fine!! They said it could have been something that I had eaten the night before that made my blood sugar higher on the inital test last week.

I cannot tell you how relived I am to know that everything is okay. I was so upset and I must admit a little embarrassed....I am not really sure why since there is really no way to prevent gestational diabetes. It can happen to any pregnant woman. I think the reason I was so upset about it was because I have been so careful about what I eat. That is not to say that I haven't wanted to eat everything in sight! You hear people talking about having cravings, but no one prepares you for just wanting to eat everything you see. It has not been so much about craving this or that as it has been about all food looking fantastic! However, it has been a lot easier to make healthy food choices when I think about the little life that is growing inside of me. What I do for him now is dramatically effecting his current health and how prepared he will be for life out here with us!

Okay, sorry, got on my soap box....I will go now! Thanks for all of the prayers!

Not so great news :(

The doctors office called me today and I failed my first gestational diabetes test. She said, "Honey, you are waaayyy too sweet!" So I go back on Monday for the 3 hour test. I am definately not looking forward to that or to having to drink that stuff again...yuck! Hopefully everything will turn out just fine...I will keep you updated.

A few of Jack Nolan's earliest pictures...

Just a few ultrasound pictures from a long the way...

Our first 3D picture! His nose is really okay, he had his toes on his nose and they were casting a shadow on his nose.

I went to the doctor yesterday, 5/12, for my week 27 check up. Everything went great! Jack Nolan's heartbeat was 155 and he was constantly kicking Dr. McIlveen. When he measured me I was measuring a week ahead, so he told me that anytime starting in July we could expect little Jack! The best news during the visit...I have only gained 9 pounds total thus far in my pregnancy. It hasn't been easy but I know that it is healthier for Jack!

Coming Soon!

For those few that do not yet know Dustin and I are expecting our first child in early August. We found out a few months ago that we are having a boy! We cannot describe for you how excited we are. Jack will be the first grandchild for both my Mom and Dustin's parents....so there is a lot of anticipation and excitement surrounding this precious baby. We will keep you posted...
