So much has happened since I posted last! Dustin graduated from Graduate School! Jack turned 9 months old, we celebrated Mother's Day and Jack took his first step. On Saturday Dustin took the much earned walk across the stage at ASU and recieved his Master's degree. Dustin has been working on this for the past 2 years, while also being a husband, working full time and for the past 9mos, a daddy! I am so proud of him and the example that sets for Jack. On Mother's day Jack was dedicated at church. This in no way parts salvation on him, we were asking blessing over his life and were confirming before the church that we would raise him in the way of the Lord. It was a beautiful ceremony, but we do not have pictures. My family was not there, and Dustin's parents were sitting too far away. After church we went back to our house and Dustin's parents joined us for lunch. Jack loved playing with his Mawmaw! Then there in front of everyone Jack decided to take his first step! He has been able to stand without holding on for about 3 weeks, but he would just plunge into your arms when he was done standing, or he would squat back down; however, on Sunday he took that much awaited step! It was precious! He has done it several times since, but only one step!
I took Monday off, it had been a crazy weekend! Dustin graduated on Saturday and then the Dedication on Sunday, Jack (and mommy) needed a day to rest! He did have his 9 month checkup on Monday and he weighed in at 21lbs and was 28 3/4 inches long! He showed off his ability to stand, crawl and talk away! Susan said he was perfect! Like always, I had a ton of questions that I had obsessively written down in order of importance in case we ran out of time, but she spent 45 minutes in there with me answering all of my questions, I love her!
Some facts about Jack:
1-He can drink from a sippy cup
2-His favorite drink is orange juice
3-He loves rice, noodles, baked potato, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries and wheat toast (all plain of course!)
4-He says mama, dada, byebye, and we know he is saying loxlee but it doesn't sound anything like it!!
5-He loves playing chase with his daddy
6-He likes me to brush his teeth!
I have 8 days of school left...and am so excited to spend the summer with Jack and Dustin.
Loves!
