2 Months Old

Jack Nolan is 2 months old today! It is so hard to believe! We have settled into a nice routine and life feels so right...it is hard to imagine life without him.

I was suppose to go back to work on Monday, but we had some child care issues. When I took mom by the ladies house that was suppose to keep Jack, we just showed up instead of calling first (everyone should always make drop in visits on their child care provider you get a much more accurate picture). We saw some very disturbing things, and we both decided that there was no way we would leave Jack there, so I began frantically calling around trying to find somewhere else, and the Lord answered our frantic prayers. We found a home center that is literally one minute from my school. There are only 3 other children there, 10 months, 2.5 and 4 years old. The daycare is attached to her house and it is really cute, we are sure that Jack is going to be safe and thrive there. I have had several children in my classroom that were in her care prior to coming to public school and they are all very polite and ready for school.

Jack's new favorite activity is looking at himself in a mirror. When he is laying on his back on his playmat I will hold a mirror above his face or beside him and he watches himself and smiles and coos...it is precious!

We go to the pediatrician tomorrow for his well checkup and first set of shots...we are not looking forward to it, we will let you know how the visit goes and how much he weighs (we are thinking about 14lbs!!!)

Enjoy the pictures!!
